What are the qualifications and experience of your volunteers?
Our volunteers come from a variety of background and experiences, including education and human resources, and have experience in the Australian job market and application process. All volunteers hold a current Working With Children's Check and Police Check. More importantly, our volunteers care about supporting social outcomes and are dedicated to providing tailored support to users of this platform.
How long does it take to receive feedback?
We currently have a dedicated team of 2-3 volunteers (depending on monthly service demand) and endeavor to provide tailored feedback within 1-2 weeks of your submission. Many users of resumesupport.org often come back with questions, clarifications and revisions after our first review.
How do you approach your reviews?
We approach each submission on a case-by-case basis. Typically, we will look at opportunities to improve the content, language, grammar, structure and presentation of your job application documents in the context of your experience, target job and/or career aspirations. Feedback might involve a combination of high level feedback, detailed and worked examples, as well as specific comments across the documents provided. We will not write the résumé or cover letter for you. Rather, we provide tailored feedback that you can bring into your current and future job applications.
